Relentless Review

Coming from 14 years into my corporate career, I had always been very deliberate about my moves. For the first decade especially, I took a lot of care in choosing roles, staying long enough at companies, and avoiding anything that could raise questions during interviews. I had also hired more than 30 people myself, so I understood how small, subtle factors often influence hiring decisions.
In mid 2023, I experienced a medical issue that required me to take leave. Although I recovered, returning to the job market without a clear success story immediately afterward had more impact on my interviews than I expected. That gap created uncertainty, and the process became more difficult than it had ever been for me before.
What stood out most about working with Relentless was realizing that job searching is truly a job in itself. I am a business analyst and project manager, and I am good at what I do, but searching for a role requires a completely different skill set. Managing outreach, navigating resume screening systems, and identifying the right opportunities would have been extremely difficult to do well on my own, especially alongside a demanding schedule.
Instead of feeling like I was missing things, I felt confident that every stone was being turned. I was exposed to opportunities in locations and companies I never would have found myself, including roles I would not have thought to look for before.
Rebuilding my career was still stressful, but Relentless made their part of the process significantly less so. With a reasonable investment of my time, much of the operational burden was lifted, which allowed me to focus on preparing well and showing up clearly in interviews.
One of the biggest takeaways for me was learning how to clearly present an entire 13 plus year career within an hour long interview. Even interviews that did not move forward became valuable repetitions. I was constantly refining my pitch, improving how I communicated my experience, and getting better with each conversation.
Today, I am in a role where I feel valued, supported, and confident about my future. The biggest value was not just landing a role, but regaining clarity and momentum during a very uncertain period in my career.
If you are a senior professional navigating a disruption or transition, having structure and strategy from day one makes a meaningful difference.
